The DWP will stop your PIP if they think the change means you can鈥檛 get it anymore, for example if: you went abroad for more than 13 weeks; you鈥檝e been in a hospital, care home or prison for more than 4 weeks; You can check which changes of circumstances will stop you getting PIP.
I'm surprised your still on DLA as it was being replace by PIP, I got moved over in 2017 and was a new claim for PIP luckily I got better rates under PIP. You have the option to change to PIP, or try getting reassessed on DLA. There is no back payment for stuff that you didn't raise as a CoC so you wouldn't be entitled to any backpay.If your child first claims DLA or PIP when in hospital, payments can start regardless of their being an inpatient.
